Parliamentary Bootcamp

Tonight I leave for girls state, a Parliamentary bootcamp in my opinion. We are given the tools to stay alive and then thrown into the pool of politics. Campaigning for offices and running for them all the while sleeping in dorms with people we don't know and sharing a community shower for a week. Sounds like fun.. lol and apparently it is. I've not heard many bad things about this event and I am lucky enough to get to go. Beth and I were screened to go and this will give us good scholarship opportunities because it looks great on the application for them. I plan on at least trying for Sheriff in my town or perhaps County Coroner. I prefer Sheriff because that speech would seem pretty easy, just laws with just reinforcement, but coroner? Umm hi, I'd like to work with your dead and I'm not a necrophiliac? lol

Well anyway I will be down in southern Idaho for a week. I'll miss my friends but hopefully I can make some new ones too. When I come back I'm moving up to Cda to find a good job and will try to get online as much as possible via the library.

MSI

The Mindless Self Indulgence concert was ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! It was so much fun, and I was introduced to a new band who was opening for them, The Birthday Massacre, the lead singer was brilliant on stage and one of the guitarists we decided was like the human Ryuk (from DeathNote). It was so amazing and if they ever come around again I am so going to see it again. Jimmy Urine is the man, and so entertaining to watch. They know how to perform. The mosh (sp) pit was pretty intense, I broke my pinky toe, or I'm pretty sure I did. A few people there cracked there ribs, but otherwise when people fell down it was pretty easy to calm everyone down enough so they could stand again. By the end of the concert I was covered in other peoples DNA and something sweet and sticky was pored over my head, tasted like lemonade almost.. anyway.

When I wasn't moshing I was just observing and then as I'm making my way through the crowd trying to find the best spot I see this guy and became amazed, he looked just like how I imagined Edward Cullen from the Twilight series to look. He smelt like flowers and had reddish hair. When he turned and smiled at me I bout' swooned, and did an uber dieing squeal inside.

While waiting in line I found some other anime people, the word "yaoi" being heard I immediately turned to investigate and now I have to read a fan fic with a Peach and Warluigi pairing ick, but apparently its a good fic so once I get the info I'm going to go read it.
